Lookit what I made!
So my mom finally wanted something this year for mothers' day... and here it is! I'm so a-xited! | | Monday, January 1st, 2007 | | 5:54 pm |
New Year's stuff...
And that means what I am going to try to do... I want to eat better, and want to exercise (that is to say be able to jog more than 100 ft and still breathe). That being said, if anyone wants to exercise in some fashion, let me know, because that's one of my goals and I might just need help being pushed to it. Other than that... nothing much is different, and I guess that if I posted more often then you all would know what that is... Too bad! Oh, how about a challenge... everyone try to post something in Southernese. Intenionally misspelling a word does not make a statement Southernese, btw, but apostrophees in appropriate places are fine. You stole my bottle? wtf, mate!
Okay... so Mary and I save all of our grease from cooking in some form of glass bottle. The latest one was a tequila bottle. It was clear and narrow and tonight we filled it up. Tomorrow being trash day, we placed the bottle in the kitty litter bucket at the curb. A third of the bottle was showing out of the top of the bucket, and yes, it looked like piss. We came home tonight and the bottle was gone. I'm going to repeat that just in case you didn't get it the first time. We came home tonight and the bottle was gone. Someone stole our grease bottle out of the trash. Wow. That's really weird. I'm afraid of where I might ultimately find this bottle. | | Monday, March 13th, 2006 | | 8:04 pm |
Unhappy...
This week and some to come I think are going to suck. I have to work the weekend when TWO different tournaments are happening. I probably won't get to go to hardly any this summer. Worse than that, we have huge black ants in the kitchen. I HATE bugs in the house. Plus I think that instead of having a week of downtime between jobs I am instead working essentially doubles for that week. Craptastic. Can we just shoot me now and get it over with? | | Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 | | 8:29 pm |
Call for songs...
I have an iPod... I want more songs... more importantly, Rachele, I want BECK! I don't have the latest one... other people, if you have songs in AAC format, do you want to exchange some discs (Patrick)? E-mail me... | | Monday, February 27th, 2006 | | 8:20 pm |
An update....
Well, here is an update, so say hello everyone! Point One - The Job I don't care much for my job. That could be an understatement. There is just too much stress there. And no money in the company. It's just not a good place to be. So I started looking for a job. I finally got an interview with the Knoxville Zoo. How cool would that be? But, alas, no. I did not get the job. It was given to someone that had the 'exact some credentials.' So I guess I just smell bad. But Home Depot doesn't think that I smell bad, or they just don't mind smelly people. I interviewed with them and have been offered a position in the Garden Center. That's the department of choice for me. I get to stay outside some and maybe learn more about playing in the dirt. It's only part-time, but will be 38 hours a week or so. It's just part-time so that they don't have to guarantee hours. Maybe I can work up to full-time. It pays a lot less than what I make now, but it won't be forever, will it? So now I have to explain to the people at work that I don't want to work for them anymore. I don't know how this will go, but it is going to be stressful for me. Hey, what isn't? So that's that part of my life. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get it back on track, please, send them to someone else, because I'm apparently just not allowed to feel fullfilled in work. Point Two - The Technology I sold my Magic cards. Not all of them, mind you, just the expensive ones. I traded out an investment that could possibly devalue with time for one that will definitely devalue. I got a computer, and an iPod, and more... here's a list of specs: iPod Video 30gd Roadtrip FM Transmitter for iPod HP Computer Package with tv tuner, 1 gig ram, 250 gig hd, 17" flat panel monitor, all-in-one printer, 3800 AMD dual core processor, dvd burner with lightscribe... there might be more. Anyway, the point being that now I have this machine that seems to work fairly well. I have iTunes up to over 800 songs with many CD's left to put on it. Point Three - Things really aren't imploding on me Things could be worse. Give them time and they will be. But really, I'm generally happy and I am looking forward to the work change. I just don't know if Mary and I will ever have days off that match, but maybe we will. If anyone has any ideas for other jobs, keep them coming because the person hiring me at Home Depot has pretty much told me to keep looking for a better job while I am there. That's nice of them, and it will make things less stressful than now. At least I think it will. But anyway, take care everyone, and hopefully I will get to see some of you soon. Who wants a xmas tree?
For gimmees... one artificial xmas tree, still has all its parts, just don't want it anymore. Any takers? If I don't have someone wanting it soon it goes the way of the kitchen sink (to the dump). Stay tuned for possibly more items! | | Tuesday, December 20th, 2005 | | 6:37 pm |
So I usually don't do these....
But this one intimated that I may just be stupid. Stupid? Lacking the worldly knowledge?!? WTF, Mate? So I took it... and I got 20 right. No cheating or anything. And I missed the radio one because it was a decimal. Anyway, I don't really know how to post cuts or anything, so just go look at Rachele's journal http://www.livejournal.com/users/samilia/894715.html?#cutid1That's right, I don't even feel like making that a link.... turns out LJ does that for me... | | Thursday, October 13th, 2005 | | 10:20 pm |
For those about to have a crappy day.... we salute you!
Basically, here's a list: Boo broke a plate I almost broke Boo for breaking said plate I can't find my hat Mom can't find my hat The blind might have my hat My tooth is decayed I have an appointment for that in January My tooth is decayed That is the one next to the other one Mary doesn't like that I cut my hair (but I do...) And all in all, things really aren't that bad... but sometimes you just feel like it was a crappy day. But I did overdrive # 10 again, and I made the birdie. So that rocks. For those about to rock... we make a birdie! Perhaps I should leave this now... | | Thursday, September 1st, 2005 | | 11:27 pm |
I got my part for the hot water heater! The part works! The heater... does not.... so now it's time to shell out the money in order to get this problem fixed. Whatever. Between this and gas prices and insurance I am beginning to believe that the cost of living is simply too high for me at this time. | | Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 | | 11:57 pm |
My water is cold. I can deal with that. I suppose. Gas is over $3 a gallon. I can deal with that. For now. And work is like any other job I have ever had. It is just work. I wish that I could afford to go out of town for a weekend of frisbee golf, but I need to save money to fix the stupid h2o heater I guess. Well, I don't have anything up beat to talk about, so I will leave now. | | Friday, August 12th, 2005 | | 9:22 pm |

My frosty mug runneth over...
Actually, my frosty mug of root beer will not let me drink it because it is so frosty the ice has frozen a layer that I can't get past. But the real reason that I wanted to post is that I have found the best argument for why disc golf is better than bowling. You can get lucky and have a great shot in disc golf, but in bowling it is real hard to get lucky and have a great game. The basis of this is that tonight I got an ace by banking the disc off a tree, but hey, still a hole in one. I'm pretty happy to have gotten my first one, hopefully there will be more to come. To the gamers coming over Friday, looking forward to it, and bring your cake eating appetite! | | Sunday, July 31st, 2005 | | 10:40 pm |
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our wedding such an enjoyable day. That's all I got, I'm out. | | Thursday, July 21st, 2005 | | 9:28 pm |
Hey Everybody! I just got a new AIM account. The name is: Is That A Pirate So, I need to know everyone else's names... so post a reply and stuff, okay? Feel free to add other names of people that might not respond/read this. | | Thursday, May 19th, 2005 | | 9:32 pm |
So i played three rounds at Admiral Farragut park today. I was +2 and +1 from the Advanced tees and +2 from the Pro tees. I had one beautiful drive through a five foot gap from a pro tee. But better yet, I hit the side of the basket on TWO different tee shots. I was about half a foot away from aces! Anyway, that's it, need to work on chainmail... later! | | Saturday, May 7th, 2005 | | 1:16 pm |
Well, I started a new job for those that don't know. That's why I haven't been writing as much. I also slept 12 hours or more last night. And now I am thinking about playing some more frisbee. How's that for an update? | | Wednesday, April 27th, 2005 | | 5:13 pm |
Oh yeah... and I think that I am now officially done with school. Now I just have one more day of work there and Monday I start a new job. And my head still hurts. |
